About Me

Since early childhood, my passion for animals, especially horses and nature, has been evident. Despite growing up in the heart of a bustling city, I found ways to immerse myself in the natural world. I began riding at a young age and dedicated my time to volunteering at dog shelters.

After completing high school, my journey toward veterinary medicine felt inevitable. However, unexpected circumstances prompted me to pause my studies, opening up new opportunities. I embarked on extensive travels throughout Europe, delving into the equestrian world, experiencing high-level show jumping, and gaining invaluable insights.

My background includes a career in show jumping, where I rode for renowned names like Karel Cox, Zangersheide, and Schockemohle. While this deepened my understanding of the equestrian world, I always felt drawn to understanding horses' needs on a deeper level. I finished veterinary studies in Latvia while seeking additional equine medicine experience abroad, such as spending a summer in the equine emergency clinic of the University of Lisbon, doing internships in Belgium, a rotation internship in Leipzig University, and an internship in one of the best clinics in The Netherlands - Someren.

Coming from a country rich in tradition and deeply connected to nature's power, I felt compelled to help horses in a holistic manner, focusing on natural approaches and preventative care rather than solely relying on medication. This led me to discover my passion for Osteopathy.

My approach is holistic, seeing the horse as a whole and using natural methods to support well-being. Each treatment is based on understanding the horse in its entirety, taking into account all influencing factors — from environment, nutrition, and social life to saddle and tack fit. These principles form the foundation of my work.

When I work with horses, I start by listening to them. I never force a process or work against a horse, as I believe real change cannot come from pressure. Horses communicate clearly when we take the time to listen, often guiding the way themselves. My work is about cooperation and trust — working together with the horse, rather than pushing — to create meaningful and lasting results.

My educational journey continues beyond graduation. After completing my studies at the Vluggen Institute, I expanded my skill set by adding Myofascial Kinetic Lines and taping to my toolbox. I am currently deepening my knowledge in holistic nutrition, physiological equine dentistry, and hoof balance, while continuously pursuing further education through courses, seminars, and ongoing study. In the near future, I will also be integrating acupuncture and Chinese medicine into my work. Learning is a lifelong process, and I remain committed to continuous growth and professional excellence.

My Philosophy

"The body has the ability to regulate and heal itself. You just have to give the right conditions. And don’t forget - it works as a whole."

"All parts of the body functioning together in an integrated manner."

"The further away from nature - the further away from the balance, harmony and health."

"For the best treatment plan see the whole picture, don’t forget good management which includes good food, environment, social life, emotional and behavioral factors. Because it is all about balance."

"The point of holistic medicine is to actually fix the underlying cause of the condition, rather than just mask the symptoms with painkillers or the like."

"It’s not about what we do to the horse, but to do with the horse. You can’t force him. It’s also horsemanship."
